Barcelona 6-1 Alavés: Six-goal statement at Camp Nou

Match verdict

Barcelona produced a commanding 6-1 La Liga win over Deportivo Alavés at Camp Nou, turning a four-goal first half into a comprehensive final margin. The home side scored six times from 13 attempts, with seven shots on target, and paired that sharpness with 77% possession and 771 completed passes.

The result was built early. Raphinha opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a left-footed finish after Fermín López’s assist. Fermín then made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute, converting with his right foot from Lamine Yamal’s pass.

Four before the interval

Barcelona extended their advantage shortly before the break. Raphinha struck again in the 41st minute, again assisted by Fermín, before Lamine Yamal made it 4-0 in first-half stoppage time from João Cancelo’s assist.

Fermín’s contribution was especially productive: one goal and two assists. His 9.18 rating was second only to Yamal’s 9.6, while Raphinha finished with an 8.16 rating after his two-goal display.

Yamal’s brace confirmed

Barcelona continued scoring after the restart. Pedri was replaced by Marc Bernal at the start of the second half, while Alavés introduced Toni Martínez for Carlos Protesoni.

Raphinha made way for Gabriel Jesus in the 62nd minute. Two minutes later, Yamal scored Barcelona’s fifth with a left-footed finish from Jesus’ assist. The goal underwent a VAR review before being awarded, completing Yamal’s brace.

Yamal had already created Fermín’s goal and scored in first-half stoppage time. His two goals and assist, combined with the highest rating of the match, made him the official Player of the Match.

Late goals at both ends

Barcelona’s substitutes remained involved. Anthony Gordon entered in the 74th minute for Yamal and added the sixth goal seven minutes later, finishing with his right foot after Rodri’s assist.

Alavés found a late response through Mariano Díaz, who had replaced Lucas Boyé in the 74th minute. Mariano scored with a right-footed effort in the 84th minute to set the final score at 6-1.

The visitors had three shots on target from seven attempts, while Barcelona goalkeeper Joan García made two saves. Alavés recorded three accurate crosses to Barcelona’s none? No—Alavés completed two accurate crosses, while Barcelona recorded zero. Both teams had three corners.
